Description
This 1955 Oldsmobile Super 88 post coupe is a restored custom cruiser powered by a Chevrolet ZZ4 crate V8 engine paired with a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Represented as a 39,000-mile vehicle prior to its restoration, this 88 features a Fat Man Fabrications front chassis conversion, rack-and-pinion power steering, power front disc brakes, and Vintage Air climate control. It is now offered by the selling dealer with extensive original documentation and service history dating back to new, along with a clean title.
The steel body is refinished in a two-tone combination of 1957 Thunderbird White and late-model Honda Red. Exterior features include signature Rocket 88 brightwork, chrome front and rear bumpers, dual side mirrors, iconic globe hood ornament, and classic round taillight housings.
The car rides on 15-inch red steel wheels with full-wheel chrome covers and Cooper Cobra radial tires, measuring 215/70 R15 in front and 255/70 R15 in rear.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats upholstered in two-tone vinyl and cloth that mirrors the exterior color palette. Interior amenities include a hidden modern Bluetooth-capable stereo system, an integrated Vintage Air conditioning and heating system, and color-keyed door panels and carpeting.
