This is a clean two-tone '50s hardtop that presents a classic period aesthetic while benefiting from selective mechanical and cabin modernizations. The build pairs a 312ci "Thunderbird" V8 with a floor-shifted three-speed manual conversion, riding on stock suspension with white-sidewall tires. I appreciate the addition of Vintage Air A/C in a classic cruiser like this so that you can ride around in style even in summer.

Description

This 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria is a two-tone hardtop sedan that underwent a full restoration completed in 2017, at which time it was repainted and mechanically updated. Powered by a factory correct 312ci "Thunderbird" V8, the car features a floor-shifted manual conversion, modern air conditioning, and updated instrumentation. It is offered by the selling dealer with its replaced original components stored in the trunk and a clean Kentucky title.

The exterior was refinished in 2017 in a two-tone red and white paint scheme matching the original color combination. The body retains factory-correct chrome bumpers, side moldings, brightwork trim, and exterior lighting.

The car rides on factory steel wheels fitted with full wheel covers and white-sidewall road tires. A matching spare wheel and tire are mounted inside the rear trunk compartment alongside replaced stock parts.

The interior was re-upholstered in red fabric and vinyl, covering both front and rear bench seats. An aftermarket center cup holder is placed between the front seating areas, and the rear package tray is upholstered to match the seats. Interior amenities include an updated Vintage Air climate control system, functional windshield wipers, horn, and a retro-style AM/FM head unit equipped with Bluetooth connectivity.

The driver operates the car via a factory three-spoke steering wheel. The original instrument housing has been updated with a set of Dakota Digital electronic gauges. Floor controls feature a floor-mounted Hurst manual shifter.

The engine bay houses a factory-correct 312ci "Thunderbird" V8 engine. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission converted from a column setup to a floor-mounted Hurst shifter setup.

The chassis utilizes the stock suspension layout, featuring front coil springs and rear leaf springs. Stopping power is supplied by factory four-wheel manual drum brakes.
