Firing up a blown 514 Ford with an 8-71 sticking proudly out of the hood is the kind of wake-up call only a Pro Street Galaxie can deliver. Twin Holley 600s feed the monster, the MSD billet boost ignition lights it, and the C6 with its SFI-rated flexplate sends all of it down to a limited-slip 9-inch loaded with 4.11 gears while chrome ladder bars plant the rear end. Dressed in White with Red paisley accents and a Red top, this nearly 18-foot drop-top is built to be heard, seen, and driven hard!

Description

This 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible is an old-school blown Pro Street build finished in White with Red paisley accents and topped with a Red convertible top. Powered by a 514ci Ford big block with an 8-71 supercharger and paired with a C6 automatic transmission, this Galaxie features dual Holley 600 CFM carburetors, an MSD billet boost ignition system, an aluminum radiator, a Ford 9-inch rear end with 4.11:1 gears, and chrome ladder bars. It is offered on a clean Mississippi title.

The 18-foot, two-door body is finished in White with Red paisley accents with chrome mirrors, a sealed-beam four-headlight setup, and dark red convertible top.

The car rides on 225/60 Forceum Hena tires up front and 255/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A rubber out back, both sets wrapped around 15-inch Cragar chrome wheels.

Inside the cabin are a red dash, red vinyl bench seats front and rear and lap belts. Down below are a "Barefoot" gas pedal cover, B&M floor-mounted shifter with reverse lockout, and red carpeting.

Factory gauges can be found behind the wheel and the several aftermarket gauges have been fitted, including an 8,000 RPM tachometer, oil temperature, water temperature, and voltage, and a switch for boost control. A JVC CD stereo is mounted mid-dash as well.

Power comes from a 514ci Ford big block topped with an 8-71 supercharger. Induction is handled by a pair of Holley 600 CFM carburetors, and an MSD billet boost ignition system supplies the spark. An aluminum radiator manages engine temperature. The engine is paired with a C6 automatic transmission equipped with an SFI-rated flexplate and a deep aluminum transmission pan, and power is sent to a Ford 9-inch rear end with a limited-slip differential and 4.11:1 gears.
