With Church Boys rack-and-pinion steering and four-wheel power discs stripping away the vintage slop, it's a razor-sharp Silver Blue sleeper that plants every bit of its power the second you slap the B&M shifter into gear.
Description
This 1964 Chevrolet Chevy II coupe is a high-performance street build finished in Silver Blue. Powered by a custom 362ci small-block V8 with Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, the car incorporates upgraded suspension geometry, modern air conditioning, rack-and-pinion steering, and a modernized four-speed automatic transmission. It is offered by the selling dealer with a clean Illinois title.
The exterior is finished in Silver Blue paint, retaining factory-style brightwork moldings and chrome bumpers. The headlights have been upgraded to aftermarket LEDs.
The car stands on 15-inch Chevrolet Rally wheels that feature a polished chrome lip and faux knockoffs. The wheels are wrapped in performance radial tires.
The cabin features a black vinyl upholstery layout with front bucket seats. Interior amenities include a Vintage Air heating and air conditioning system and replacement carpeting.
The driver controls the vehicle using a factory-style steering wheel mounted to an aftermarket tilt column, which links to a Church Boys rack-and-pinion setup. Inside, the rebuilt instrument cluster features a factory-style tachometer alongside Stewart Warner voltage, water temperature, and mechanical oil pressure gauges. Gear selection for the automatic transmission is handled by a floor-mounted B&M shifter.
The engine bay houses a 362ci V8 built on a Brodix small-block Chevrolet block bored to 4.155 inches. Internal components include a Bill Maropulos forged steel 3.333-stroke crankshaft, Compstar 6.2-inch I-beam connecting rods, Keith Black dome-top pistons, a Cloyes Hex-a-Just gear set, Harland Sharp 1.5 roller rocker arms, a COMP Cams Xtreme Energy camshaft, and Howard Cams hydraulic roller lifters. Induction is managed by a Holley Sniper EFI system mounted on an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap aluminum intake manifold set atop Summit Racing cylinder heads. Power is sent through a Nemesis Stage 2 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission to a 10-bolt rear axle equipped with a posi-traction differential and 3.73:1 gearing.
The upgraded chassis features a Church Boys Racing front suspension setup paired with rack-and-pinion steering. Ride control and traction are optimized using QA1 shocks alongside Calvert Racing traction bars and rear leaf springs. Confident stopping power is delivered by a four-wheel, power-assisted disc brake system.
