Wrench Report

By Chris Esparza

RestoMods Head Mechanic. 20 year classic car mechanic & builder.

If you're looking for a true to form, pure L30-code small block Camaro, then this is the car for you. Whoever restored this car definitely wanted to keep everything as factory correct as possible, like that 327ci V8 equipped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, 2 speed powerglide, and that blue on blue color scheme. This was the car that started the F-body craze. The best part is you can either enjoy this freshly restored Camaro as a daily drivable cruiser or do some crazy stuff to it in the restomod department.

Description

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro coupe is equipped with a period-correct 327ci V8 engine and Powerglide automatic transmission. Finished in its factory Nantucket Blue shade, the car features recent cosmetic and mechanical updates alongside rare factory equipment including a fold-down rear seat. It is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean Oregon title.

The body was professionally refinished in its original Nantucket Blue paint. The exterior retains its factory first-generation styling elements, including chrome front and rear bumpers, brightwork trim moldings, and original-style badging.

The vehicle stands on factory steel Rally wheels fitted with Chevrolet-branded hubcaps and radial tires.

The cabin features a blue vinyl interior complemented by replacement carpeting and a replacement headliner. Seating consists of front bucket seats and the rare factory-optional fold-down rear bench seat. Amenities include a factory-style AM pushbutton radio set into the center dash section.

The driver operates the vehicle via a factory three-spoke steering wheel. The stock instrument cluster houses primary operational gauges alongside a column-mounted shift lever for the 2-speed automatic.

The engine bay houses a period correct L30-code 327ci V8 engine. Updates include a newly installed Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. Power is routed to the rear wheels via the factory Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. The chassis is equipped with power-assisted steering and a newly installed dual exhaust system.
