Wrench Report
RestoMods Head Mechanic. 20 year classic car mechanic & builder.
The built 454 big-block dominates the engine bay with its Edelbrock aluminum intake, long-tube headers, and polished valve covers showing off a high-quality mechanical assembly. The aggressive stance achieved by front drop spindles and a 2-inch rear drop gives this factory RS an extraordinarily stance over its custom chrome wheels. This Camaro displays every hallmark of a tastefully executed, heavy-hitting street machine.

Hi, I’m seriously interested in the 1969 Camaro and would appreciate a little more information before bidding:
1. What automatic transmission is installed—TH350, TH400, or something else? Has it been rebuilt or upgraded?
2. Do you have details on the 454’s internal components, compression ratio, cylinder heads, camshaft, engine builder, mileage and estimated/dyno-tested horsepower?
3. Is the 12-bolt rear end limited-slip/Positraction, and what gear ratio is installed?
4. Is there documentation confirming it is a factory Rally Sport, including the cowl/trim-tag information?
5. When was the restoration completed, and are photos, receipts or records available?
6. Is there any known rust, previous rust repair, body filler, accident damage or replaced sheet metal—especially in the floors, trunk, rockers, quarters, frame rails and subframe?
7. How would you rate the paint, body-panel alignment and underside condition? Are there any chips, cracks, bubbles, leaks or other defects?
8. Are the brakes still manual drums on all four wheels?
9. Does it have power steering or air conditioning?
10. Are there any overheating, oil-pressure, transmission, electrical or drivability issues? Does everything operate correctly, including the RS hideaway headlights and gauges?
11. Can you provide cold-start, driving and underside videos?
12. Is the car available for an independent pre-purchase inspection, including compression/leak-down testing and inspection on a lift?
Thank you. I’m prepared to bid if the condition and mechanical details check out.
