Description
This 1988 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible is a one-owner, largely original example finished in Red over a tan leather interior. Powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter, 16-valve DOHC inline-four and paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle, this Saab shows 70,279 original miles. It is now offered with two sets of keys, both sets of the original car mats, original spare tire and tools, a clean CARFAX, and a clear Washington title.
The body is finished in its factory Red paint and retains its original glass and bodywork. Exterior equipment includes a black convertible soft top along with front and rear spoilers. A small tear is noted in the driver-side rear portion of the soft top.
The car rides on the factory silver-finished 15-inch, 15-hole wheels wrapped in 185/65 Potenza tires. The CARFAX shows no accident or damage history.
Inside the cabin is tan leather with heated front bucket seats and a rear bench seat. Power is produced by a turbocharged 2.0-liter, 16-valve DOHC inline-four (engine code B202L) with an intercooler, which was factory-rated at 160 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle driving the front wheels.
Steering is factory power-assisted rack-and-pinion, and braking is handled by discs at each corner.

The listing describes the car as one-owner, but CARFAX shows “New owner reported” when it was titled in Washington in December 2012. Can you clarify the ownership history?
The August 2026 Scanwest service shows an engine compression check. Do you have the invoice, and can you provide the compression readings for all four cylinders?
Do you have service records/invoices, particularly for the years before the recent Scanwest service?
How does the 5-speed transmission operate? Any grinding, difficult shifts, noise, or tendency to pop out of gear, particularly in 2nd or 3rd?
Has the clutch ever been replaced, and how does it feel currently?
I noticed oil residue around the engine/transmission area in the underside photos. Do you know the source of the oil seepage, and does the car leave any oil on the ground?
Does the turbo boost normally, and are there any engine-running issues, smoke, overheating, or warning lights?
Does the A/C blow cold?
Does the power convertible top operate completely and correctly? I noticed the small tear in the fabric. Does the top leak, and are there any other tears, seam problems or issues with the rear window?
Is there any rust that you know of, particularly underneath, around the floors, suspension mounting points, wheel arches, rockers or jacking points?
Are all the gauges, lights, windows, locks, radio and other electrical equipment working?
Is there anything else mechanically or cosmetically that you believe the car currently needs?
