Two four-barrels and the Duntov cam sit on a matching-numbers 265 with an unofficial 240 horsepower, and the paperwork backs up every casting! A three-speed manual keeps the driver in charge, while the power top, Wonderbar radio, and Venetian Red lacquer make top-down cruising a showpiece!

Description

Acquired by its current owner from the collection of well-known Corvette collector John Lindquist, this 1956 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible has been restored to its original specifications in Venetian Red lacquer with a red interior. Powered by a matching-numbers 265ci V8 with two four-barrel carburetors and the RPO 449 high-lift camshaft and paired with a 24011 three-speed manual transmission, this Chevrolet features a power-operated tan convertible top, a heater, a Wonderbar radio, and windshield washers. The car is one of 111 produced with the 24011 transmission, and it is offered with extensive documentation and a clean Washington title.

The restored body wears Venetian Red lacquer and white paint, topped by a tan power-operated convertible top. Windshield washers are fitted.

The car rides on red-painted wheels with full-size wheel covers and wide whitewall tires.

A red interior, restored to original specifications, includes a heater and a factory Wonderbar radio. The odometer shows 94,811 miles.

A matching-numbers 265ci V8 fed by two four-barrel carburetors carries the RPO 449 high-lift camshaft, known as the Duntov cam, for an unofficial rating of 240 horsepower. A 24011 three-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels.
