The 4L60E and 3.73 posi rear end put the boost on the pavement, Hotchkis and QA1 suspension with drilled and slotted CPP discs at all four wheels keep it in check, and air conditioning and a Bluetooth stereo keep the cabin comfortable!
Description
Following a body-off frame rebuild, this 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle wears custom Wild Cherry Kandy paint and a custom grille. Powered by a supercharged 5.7-liter LS1 V8 and paired with a 4L60E automatic overdrive transmission, this Chevrolet features fuel injection, a 12-bolt positraction rear end with 3.73 gears, Hotchkis sport suspension, custom CPP four-wheel disc brakes, and air conditioning. Additional upgrades include a custom stereo system with Bluetooth and an amplifier, an alarm, and push-button start. The vehicle is on finance and the lien will be paid off after the sale.
Original glass, molding, and trim remain all around the custom mirror-finish Wild Cherry Kandy body, which has a functional cowl hood and a custom grille.
The car rides on Mickey Thompson tires over 18-inch US Mag wheels in front and Michelin tires wrapped in 20-inch US Mag wheels out back.
Custom black leather covers the aftermarket power-adjustable front bucket seats and matching rear bench and a custom console runs from front to back. Power windows, power locks, and Vintage Air air conditioning are installed, along with an alarm system.
A Billet Specialties 3-spoke wheel with Billet tilt column is affixed sits ahead of aftermarket gauges, a push-button starter fires the engine, and custom pedals are installed. A JVC multimedia touchscreen stereo system with Bluetooth uses two 12-inch Crossfire speakers and an amplifier housed in the trunk. The digital odometer shows 4,302 miles, all of which have been added since the build.
A Magnuson supercharger tops the 5.7-liter LS1, which breathes through a BBK 85mm intake and a custom intake tube. Custom valve covers and a chrome alternator trim the engine, stainless steel headers carry the exhaust, an electric fuel pump supplies the fuel injection, and a Holley aluminum oil pan sits below. An aluminum radiator with electric fans provides the cooling. A 4L60E automatic overdrive transmission sends power to a 12-bolt Posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gears.
QA1 tubular control arms, adjustable coilover gas shocks, and a heavy-duty sway bar work with the Hotchkis sport suspension. Steering uses a quick-ratio steering box with Holley power steering, and power brakes feed a custom CPP brake system with drilled and slotted discs at all four wheels.
