Description
All steel and rust-free, this 1947 GMC pickup is a chopped hot rod and rat rod build. Powered by a built 350ci V8 with a mild cam and paired with a 350 automatic transmission, this GMC features roller rockers, HEI ignition, an Edelbrock 1405 carburetor, an electric cooling fan, a Ford 9-inch rear end, and front disc brakes. A power seat is also installed.
Rust-free steel makes up the entire body of this pickup, whose cab has been chopped. A crank-out windshield and a visor are fitted.
The rat rod rolls on stagged tires over steel wheels and the motor is fed via a fuel cell housed in the bed.
Inside the cabin are modern leather bucket seats, with a power driver's side, carpeting, floor mats, and crank-out windshield.
Instrumentation includes period gauges behind the wheel and auxiliary readouts below the dash, and a floor shifter manages gear selection. Mileage shown is 72,709, but the accuracy of this figure is unknown.
A mild cam and roller rockers headline the built 350ci engine, which runs HEI ignition, an Edelbrock 1405 carburetor, and K&N air filter. An electric fan provides cooling, a 350 automatic transmission sends power to a Ford 9-inch rear end, and exhaust exits through dual vertical side pipes.
Disc brakes are installed at the front.
