One of the best colors you could get in a "138"-code Chevelle Super Sport hardtop. Looking at the gallery photos that 396ci Chevrolet V8 is nicely built and I like that the car has an upgraded Tremec six-speed manual transmission to row your own gears. You get the restomod look with those US Mags wheels but the car mechanically retains a lot of the old school muscle feel if that's the throwback vibe you're looking for.

Description

This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 is a true Super Sport model, verified by its "138" VIN prefix. The car features its original factory color combination, an upgraded six-speed manual transmission, modern instrumentation, and chassis updates. It is offered for sale with a clean Missouri title.

The seller states the body received a complete repaint in April 2026, finished in its factory-correct Marine Blue shade. Exterior trim elements include original-style Chevelle SS badging, chrome bumpers, and brightwork moldings that the seller notes are in good condition.

The car stands on polished US Mags wheels, measuring 18 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear, wrapped in Fullway HP108 tires measuring 225/45ZR18 in the front and 275/40R20 in the rear.

The cabin features factory-style black vinyl bucket seats. Upgrades include a set of integrated Dakota Digital gauges set into the dashboard to monitor operational metrics, alongside a floor-mounted shifter managing the six-speed gearbox.

The driver operates the car via a black factory-style steering wheel set ahead of the digital gauge cluster. The dashboard retains its original design layout, complemented by matching black carpeting and door panels.

The engine bay houses a 396ci Chevrolet V8. Upgrades include an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley carburetor, a Holley fuel delivery system, an HEI ignition system, an aluminum serpentine belt drive, and exhaust headers. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a Tremec six-speed manual transmission.

The chassis is equipped with a dual exhaust system. Stopping power is managed by a power-assisted front disc brake system and drum brakes in the rear.

@jifernandez01 Thank you for the bids and comments! The Chevelle has a higher rear stance with plenty of clearance for the larger tires, and this can easily be adjusted with a new set of rear shocks. The current owner has put under 2,000 miles on the car. It does not have A/C, but a clean Vintage Air setup would be an easy upgrade.

@jwd123 It looks even better in person. The car has zero rust and the paint looks amazing. The paintwork was done prior to the current owner, but the finish is in excellent condition with no major nicks, scratches, or runs that we’ve noticed. A good wax and polish will really make that Marine Blue shine!

That’s correct. Both have been upgraded. The engine could be original, but it has been rebuilt, and we don’t have documentation confirming originality. The car drives amazing, and the 6-speed makes it extremely versatile whether cruising around town or on the highway.

I read the comments below that the last owner only registered 2000 miles on the car but do you have any additional information on mileage (e.g. car, motor, transmission, drive train, etc.)? Thanks for the question. The car was purchased as-is, so we don't have documentation on the engine or transmission build. It is powered by a 396 Big Block Chevy paired with a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission. The current owner has driven the car fewer than 2,000 miles since purchase.
