Paired with timeless Cortez Silver paint over a crisp black-and-white houndstooth interior, power disc brakes, and real-deal X77 documentation with the original Protect-O-Plate, this iconic first-gen Z/28 is completely show-ready and ready to run.

Description

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is a genuine X77-code muscle car documented with its original 1969 bill of sale and factory Protect-O-Plate. Powered by a replacement 302ci V8 equipped with double-hump aluminum cylinder heads, a Winters aluminum intake, and a Holley four-barrel carburetor, this real-deal Z/28 delivers power through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 Positraction gears. It is now offered with historical sales paperwork and a clean Minnesota title by the selling dealer.

The exterior is refinished in its factory-correct Cortez Silver with black rally stripes running over the cowl-induction hood and rear decklid. Body equipment includes front and rear spoilers, Z/28 badging, polished window surrounds, and chrome bumpers.

The car rides on 15-inch Chevrolet Rally wheels with chrome trim rings and center caps, wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised white-letter tires.

The cabin features classic black and white houndstooth cloth and vinyl bucket seats with a matching rear bench seat, replacement carpeting, and fresh door panels. Interior conveniences include woodgrain console trim and an upgraded AM/FM digital retro-style audio unit.

The interior also features a factory instrument panel housing an 8,000-rpm tachometer and a 120-mph speedometer, complemented by a center-console gauge cluster displaying auxiliary engine metrics. A Hurst shifter with a classic chrome shift ball manages the four-speed gearbox. The trunk compartment is fitted with a factory-style mat, jack, and spare tire assembly.

The show-detailed engine bay houses a 302ci V8 drawing cold air through a functional cowl-induction air cleaner assembly seated atop a Winters aluminum intake manifold and Holley carburetor. Aluminum double-hump cylinder heads are equipped, along with a performance dual exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle fitted with a Positraction differential and 3.73:1 gearing.

The chassis is equipped with power-assisted steering to simplify parking maneuverability. Stopping power is provided by a power-assisted front disc and rear drum brake system. The suspension is set up to factory standards, with coil springs and shocks in front and leaf springs and shocks in rear.
