Firing up a 402 big block with a mild cam and a freshly rebuilt Proform 750 under the hood of a Tuxedo Black, white-striped Chevelle SS tribute is pure 1970 muscle car theater. The fresh tune-up, new fuel pump, regulator, and water pump keep the fire burning, the TH400 and its horseshoe shifter send the torque rearward, and the tach, volt, temperature, and PSI gauges keep tabs on every pull. With tubular front control arms, rear air shocks, drilled and slotted front rotors, and staggered U.S. Mags, this Chevelle has the some stance, sound, and swagger!

Description

This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 tribute is finished in Tuxedo Black with white stripes, painted under previous ownership, over an Ivory vinyl interior. Powered is derived from a 402ci V8 from a 1970 Chevy truck with a mild cam installed under previous ownership, which is paired with a TH400 automatic transmission with a horseshoe shifter This Chevelle features a rebuilt Proform 750 carburetor, tubular front upper and lower control arms, rear air shocks, drilled and slotted front brake rotors, and an aluminum four-core radiator with electric fans. It is offered by a seller representing the titled owner, who reportedly purchased the car in October 2025, and includes a clean Florida title and one set of keys.

The body is finished in Tuxedo Black with white stripes and wears a black vinyl top and SS tribute badging. The exterior shows a scratch on the driver-side front fender from a previous owner and a small dent on the hood, along with some chips, dings, scuffs, and scratches around the body. The trunk flooring has stains.

The car rides on 245/45 tires over 18-inch U.S. Mags wheels up front and 275/70 tires over 20-inch U.S. Mags in the rear. Date codes are May 2024 and August 2002, respectively.

Interior trim includes Ivory vinyl upholstery, with some noted wear. Air conditioning are a radio are fitted but neither is currently working.

Inside is a horseshoe shifter, along with an aftermarket tachometer, volt meter, temperature gauge, and PSI gauge.

Power comes from a period-correct 402ci V8 sourced from a 1970 Chevy truck and it is paired with a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and equipped with a mild cam installed under previous ownership. A Proform 750 carburetor rebuilt 50 miles ago handles induction, and an HEI ignition supplies the spark. A complete tune-up was performed 100 miles ago, including new plugs, wires, and distributor, as well as a new fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and water pump. Cooling is handled by an aluminum four-core radiator with electric fans. Corrosion is present on some engine bay components.

The chassis is fitted with upgraded tubular front upper and lower control arms and rear air shocks. Braking is supported by drilled and slotted front brake rotors and rear drums.
